John Bayless Clayton b. 1864. I believe he is the same as John Baylus Clayton b. abt. 1864, m. Alice Mankins and had a son Alvia Baylus Clayton in 1883 in Lampasas, Tx. I'm looking for information on him and also any other children who might have been born to John and Alice.

Hi list since there has been so much on the list on the Virus I thought I
would offer my AVG
Anti-Virus System Main Page
The way I understan this virus is that it comes as an attachment and enters a
person mail usually Outlook then goes threw all unread mail, It then sends
the virus by sending replies to all of the senders of the unread mail.
NEVER open an attachment on a Roots List, Roots does NOT allow
attachments on the list so it in NOT FROM ROOTS
If you use AOL delete the outlook express I have been on list for 6 years and
have not gotten a virus except once which went to the outlook that I did not
use so was never passed on but was found by a virus scan.
FREE virus program this one is only 5MB download and free upgrades. <A

I hope this helps someone.

Any attachment from this list is a VIRUS. Do not open it. Delete it! If
you did "click" on the image then you DO have a virus that will attach your
computer and will worsen each time you restart your computer. Follow the
advice that was sent yesterday on deleting the viruses. I was sent a virus
a few minutes ago from this list that was masked as a song. Any more
viruses from this list and I and am sure others will unsubcribe until the
problem is rectified.

Take special note. I got a virus on an Email addressed to me
through the Clayton List. This Virus
had a return address of something like this: "Olivida(a)pic.tif" or
something very simular, and it has an
attachment. DO NOT OPEN. We were able to delete it before damage was
done.
Joe
Badtrans.worm
This new worm sends it's self as an attachment to all addresses of
unread messages on your computer. You can't get a message from a
RootsWeb list since it strips all messages of attachments, but if
there are unread messages from a list, the worm will send itself
to the sender of the message and make it appear the message is
from the list. If you get a list message and it has an attachment,
it did NOT come through the list and you should be very
suspicious.
NEVER open an attachment unless there is a message explaining exactly
what is being sent.
If you have opened an attachment that might contain this worm, do not
shut down your computer. It installs when the computer is re-started.
For a complete description and instructions for removing the worm go to
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/pf/w32.badtrans.13312@mm.html
THIS THREAD IS NOW CLOSED.

Leota,
I have a William M. Clayton, born 29 Jul 1789 in Shenahdoah Co.,
VA. He is the son of Samuel
Clayton and Catherine Price, m. 24 May 1786 in Shenandoah Co., VA.
Samuel's lineage goes like this:
Samuel(5), Samuel(4), Philip(3), Samuel(2), Samuel(1). Samuel(1) was
born about 1681 in Old Rappa-
hannock County, VA. I do not have anything on who William M. married,
or where he wound up going to from the above.

I have a William C CLAYTON (1768-1790) in my tree, whose parents were
married in Chichester, Sussex, England in 1750. I have no information
on his marriage or subsequent family. Are we talking about the same
William CLAYTON from Chichester?
More importantly, does this mean I am related to Richard Nixon?!?
Best wishes
