Hi Red, Thanks for your e-mail with regard to Thomas Jefferson Clayton.
Unfortrunately with the exception of my father George Frederick Clayton
I have no record of any members of our family line living in the U.S.A.
The earliest record which we have dates to 1664 in Eardisland in
Herefordshire England. Some members of the family lived in Cheshire in
the 1900's.
Sorry I am unable to be of assistance but good luck.

Sorry unable to be of assistance. All my Claytons lived in Herefordshire
and Cheshire in England. There may have been one Clayton lady who went
to Australia but nothing that I have uncovered to date indicates any
Clayton going to the U.S.A.
Good luck.

I am trying to find any information on the ancestors of my gggrandfather
Thomas Jefferson CLAYTON. He was born about 1832 in Georgia and was in Davis
County (now Cass County), Texas by the start of the Civil War. He died in
Cass County, Texas Sept. 1882. He married Ghitta Ann MCCOY on 19 Feb 1867 in
Cass County. I would very much like to connect with others on this CLAYTON
line.
Thanks,
Red
I have several Clayton lines but have nothing on Mary Elizabeth clayton,
1858-1944 m. Holmes Pullen, Monmouth co. N.J. Her father was Charles Henry
Clayton d.1890,m. Elizabeth. Do not k now where Charles Henry was from or any
further info.
Another dead end if Annie Clayton, no dates, m. Samuel Stewart, no dates.
Their daughter, Jennie was b. 1848 and lived in or around Cassville, N.J. She
married Thomas E. Rudd .
Any help appreciated. Bev
