Hi list. I lost my file due to a fire. So this is starting over, from memory mostly. My great greatgrandmother was Lurah A. Clayton and was bMar 1866 in Ms. Her parents were Warren G. and Malinda(Anderson) Clayton. They were found on the 1880 census ofLee Co.Ms at Tupelo. Waren was b9 Jan 1842 in Ala, both of his parents were b in SC. Warren and Malinda had the following children;Lenora/ Lurah, Emma J, Julie N. and Allie. On this census also living with them was Warrens sister Cynthia. They left Tupelo after this as we next find them in Sebastian Co,Ar. They are buried at the New Providence Cemetery there right on the Ar- Ok state line. Lurah married as his 3rd wife William L. Hamilton about 1886 there in Lee Co,Ms This couple came to IndianTerritory in early 1887. The dau Emma J Clayton b. 14 Nov,1867 died 18 July,1901 and was married to Jim Davis. Allie b ca 1872 married W. Tomas Walling
The marriage record of Waren(sp) Clayton and Malinda Anderson is recorded in Itawamba Co,Ms Warren Clayton died here in 1884 Malinda died in Feb,1891
The sister of Warren Clayton Cynthis Clayton Bergis was living in Leflore Co,Ok with her niece Lurah Hamilton on the 1920 census. I have some pictures of their stones and other info on desc but would really like to find parents for this Warren Clayton. Often we find his name spelled Waren. I hope this will help others wondering where their Claytons went to. Thank you Helen Marvel
