Hello, how about a Roll Call?
List who you are researching and where they are from, if you have a website
or just list your surnames.
Thanks.

RootsWeb is pleased to announce some upcoming improvements to the message
boards. The first step in these improvements will be some changes to our
search system. Preliminary work will begin Wednesday Jan 12 but should not
be noticed by board users at this time. Please report any anomalies to the
HelpDesk.
Additional work on the search system is scheduled for the late/early hours
between Tuesday Jan 18 and Wednesday Jan 19. At this time the message boards
will be down for a few hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this will
cause.

The next meeting will be on Jan 15, 2005 at the Pascagoula Public Library,
Pascagoula, MS starting at 2 PM. Jan Barlow, President for the 2005 year
has the following message:
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE, January 2005
The Officers and Executive Board hope the each of you had a really good
Christmas and a very happy New Year’s. May this year be all that you
desire.
This month’s meeting will be directed at helping our members to work around
those “road blocks” or “brick walls” that we all have experienced during our
research. Ms Betty Rodgers and I will lead the discussion, but we truly
want you to bring some of your experiences that may help someone else with
their research. If possible, write down your experience and bring it to the
meeting. We will try to convert those ideas into a “help sheet” for other
members to use.
The 2003 Journal is being printed.
All of the members need to start thinking about items that may be in the
2005 Journal and start collecting material. The Journal is a project of the
Society, not just one or a few members.
The Society’s 2005 goals are:
· Increase attendance at the monthly meetings.
· Increase Society membership.
· Publish the 2003 and 2004 Journals early in 2005.
· Publish the cemetery book by mid-year.
· Publish the 2005 Journal no later than early 2006.
· Convert all of the Journals to electronic format and publish a CD
containing all of the Journals through 2002. This may be a multiyear
effort.
This will be the only notice you will receive for this meeting. J L and I
may not be at the meeting, as we are still taking care of my father and his
wife. Would like for all of you to remember us in your Prayers.
Deanie Rogers, Recording Secretary
