Donna C. Claypoole, 87, of Rt. 58, Emlenton, Richland Township, Clarion County, went to be with the Lord Wednesday evening, March 13, 2013 at Clarview Nursing Home, in Sligo, where she had been wonderfully taken care of for a number of years. Donna was born on the family farm in Clarion County on August 26, 1925. She was the daughter of Lynn and Lorena Stover Hahn. Mrs. Claypoole was a longtime, active member of the Saint Petersburg United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed the company of her family, quilting, sewing, and flower gardening. She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Claypoole, whom she married on June 11, 1948, a son, Mitchell R. Claypoole and his wife Terri J. of West Springfield, two step-granddaughters, Cindy Grazioli, of East Brady and Carrie Vercuski of Reminderville, Ohio, as well as four step-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Claypoole was preceded in death by a son, M!
ichael, her sister, Audene, and her brother, Walter. A private family funeral service will be held today, Friday, March 15, 2013, in Saint Petersburg, with the Rev. Dan Myers, Mrs. Claypoole's church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Saint Petersburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in Mrs. Claypoole's memory, may be made to the Saint Petersburg United Methodist Church, PO Box 281, Saint Petersburg, PA 16054 or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, Arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home Inc., of Saint Petersburg, Pa.
