This is a shot in the dark but my great grandmother, Annie Francis Kennedy, born 1871, lived her entire life stating she was the great grandaughter of Betsy Ross, maker of the First US flag. She died in 1971. Her father was James Dickson Kennedy and mother was Rebecca Mills. She also stated that she was descended from William Kennedy, a revolutionary war soldier. I am unable to locate any ties to Betsy Ross and DAR keeps telling me there are no descendants of Betsy Ross. Obviously not the case. Any help or leads would be appreciated.
