Hi, don't mean to be a stickler, but it's important to be exact in our work. The Wingfield line does NOT go back to Adam and Eve. It goes back to some very dodgy genealogy that purports to go back to Adam and Eve, but it doesn't wash. The names don't correspond precisely to the patriarch's genealogies listed in the Old Testament (some notable patriarchs are missing). I sat down with the genealogy and ascribed approximate birthdates; for that particular genealogy to be accurate, every member on it b.c. would have had to live 200 years! And that was allowing for the antediluvian patriarchs to have their long lives (counting Methusaleh as 969 years, etc)
As for the A. D. names and kings, while it's certainly a lot of fun, we always have to remember that the folks who compiled these genealogies were well-paid for their finds, and proceed with caution.
Good hunting, laurie
