The death of Jeremiah Claypool was mentioned as "Suggestion of the death of J. Claypool being made to the Court," in the case of Peter Kuykendall v. Jeremiah Claypool and S. [Simon] Vanorsdal, dated Wednesday the 23rd of June 1819. This was taken from St. Clair County Circuit Court Book B:185, located IRAD, c/o Records Management, Morris Library, Mail Code 6808, Southern Illinois University, 1835 University Press drive, Carbondale, Il 62901-6808.
His children may have been Abraham, John, Catherine wife of Simon Vanorsdal, and Angelina or Ann wife of David Coons.
Seeking more information about this family. Jeremiah,Sr. may have been the husband of Blondus Kuykendall, a cousin of Peters, all from Hampshire County, West Virginia, to Knox County, Indiana and then to St. Clair County, Ill. Need to prove relationships.
