So many people have James in DE having two wives, he didn't. I have seem marriages records for both women remarrying.
James married to Mary Cann, and James, grandson of Norton married Eliz. Pawling,
the other James, husband of Mary, died in New Castle. He was baptized with his children, one also a James ,born 1701. found ref for that in the minister's records. That James was husband to Jane.
James born in England, bapt 1703, Mary remarried Christian Steelman about a year after his death. He died 1707, will on file in DE. naming Mary.
James Claypoole husband of Eliz Pawling died in 1702 New Castle, she remarried Richard Gill in Sussex co., DE.
I know so many James' are driving people nuts. But James married only Mary Cann, daughter of Quaker parents.

I don't have any information that you're requesting, but your information is helping me and maybe I can help you:
If this is the same James and Jane, I believe their son John was married to a Rachel Scott and they had a son named William. William married Sarah Sperry and they had a son named (you guessed it) John. John married Francis Peck and they had a son named (what better than) William. William married Catherine Ricerdoroff and they had a daughter named Kate Claypool. Kate married a man named Howard E. Porter. Howard married Hazel Grimes and they gave birth to my still living Great Grandmother, Thelma Porter. Thelma (married?) Wardie E. Mundy (who has passed on and I cannot find any information on) and they gave birth to my Grandmother, Charlotte Mundy. Charlotte married Harry Osbourn, and they gave birth to my mother Deborah Osbourn. She married Ronald Hamburger and they gave birth to me, Kathryn Hamburger. I thankfully married out of that name to Eli Kem and we are expecting our first (Ioan Randolph Kem) in June.
So there you go. Assuming that all of these names are correct and that these are the same James and Jane that gave birth to a John, we are distantly related and you have a new relative being born some day this June.

I am 67 years old and want to share what I have in Licking Co., Ohio related genealogy while I am still around. I would be happy to send my files in a Gedcom to anyone who asks for Pioneer Aaron Claypool. No one has reported on him according to the information I saw on a couple of web sites. I am too old now to go through the completion of documenting, and also babysit an 18 month old fulltime. This is copied from my notes:
BIOGRAPHY: Aaron and Elizabeth were in Mary Ann Twp., Licking Co., Ohio in the 1820 census, and in Eden Twp., Licking Co., Ohio by 1830 census. Aaron owned property in adjacent Fallsbury Twp., Licking Co., Ohio, which was sold after his death.
Will: Licking County 1847, Journal #1, page 48 Chancery Records Licking County, Ohio Vol. R Page 330-393. Elizabeth Claypool of Licking County represents that the said Aaron Claypool late of said county, departed this life on or about the first day of May last leaving his widow and John, Jacob, Matilda Jewell, Rebecca Davis, Elizabeth Varner, Nancy Day, and Emma Claypool, a minor, his children and Heirs at law. John White appointed guardianship of Emma Claypool a minor, signed Elizabeth Claypool, widow of Aaron Claypool deceased, 14 March 1848, by Hon. Richard Stilwell. Admitted to probate 19 June 1847 land north half of the southwest quarter of section 16, range 10, township 4, in said county of Licking Ohio.
Daughter Emma married James Davis also of Eden Twp, had 6 children, the youngest of which was Amos who was the grandfather of my deceased husband, Bernie Clark of the Fallsburg and Rocky Fork Clarks. I will gladly respond to check my info on surnames married into, if you think you may connect.
James Davis also had a brother George Washington Davis, whose name I saw on the missing pioneers list. I thought their father William was there, but did not see him on the missing list.
I also have info on the Fallsbury Twp. Baughmans and Billmans, and will answer Fallsbury questions as I can. I have Fallsbury censuses in a Works database, where I can look up census questions, and even better, if Fallsbury is a main lead to you, I will send you the whole database. Don't let that word scare you, if you don't do databases, as it is just like opening and scrolling through a web page, and can do more, and I will answer questions on that too!
WARNING! Consider all information I share as a starting point. Much of my information came from census, and you must document everything yourself!
Carolyn J. Anderson Clark, a Fallsburger who lives in Newark, Ohio.
