I am trying to find a connection between Laura Claypool and Permilla Collins-Claypool-Waugh.
Laura Claypool b. abt. 1837 m. Pinkney D. Shriner 1854 in Vinton County, Ohio.
Laura Claypool and Pinkney Shriner had a daughter Leah Permilla Shriner who had a photo album with a picture of Lizzie Waugh daughter of Permilla Collins & 2nd husband James Waugh. There is also a picture of Lizzie [Elizabeth] Waugh's husband Robert Nelson.
These two families resided in Clinton Township, Vinton County, Ohio in 1860 and lived within close proximity of each other.
Was Permilla Collins-Claypool-Waugh more than just a friend to Pinkney Shriner & wife Laura Claypool Shriner? Any information regarding this friendship and/or relationship between these two familes would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Judy
Hi Judy...We have a crossing of names ??? Your query perked my interest
because my Grandfather was Pinkney David Claypool. He was born 10/14/1889 in
Charleston, Ohio. He had a sister Laura born 1873...I've never heard the name
Pinkney before my Grandfather and how curious that they were from the same
area...if you find out where that name came from, I'd be interested to know. :)
