Hi again,
A correction to my previous message:
I think Nester's mother, Mary, was with Tacitus Clay
on the 1830 Daviess Co. KY census.
I do have the book, "Some Descendants of John Clay"
which memtions Charles & Mary on page 80. However,
the book is in error where it states that Mary's oldest dau, Martha
married Phillip Thompson. She married Richard Thompson, son of
Laurence and Keziah Hart Thompson. Phillip was a lawyer in
Daviess Co. KY.

Hi All,
About a year ago I corresponded with some of you about Nester Clay
(son of Thomas),
part of Stephen F. Austin's "Old 300" who first settled TX. Nester married
Nancy Wilson Johnson, the sister of my 2nd-g-grandmother.
I have since learned that Nester's mother, Mary/Polly (Dawson)
Calliham/Callahan was
my 4th g-grandmother. I would like any information that you have on her or
her family. Does anyone know when Mary died? I believe Thomas died in 1823 and
I think Mary was with Tacitus on the 1830 Milam Co. TX census.

Would anyone be interested in planning a social activity to discuss our CLAY family research, or meet at one of the luncheons, or meet at society night of Wednesday May 13? I will be a volunteer at the conference as I live near Raleigh.
