Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Thank you. I have the books by David Green which are great. I am always a
doubting Thomas unless I find the source. That's why I want to find Wm
Green's will. I can trace my Green family back to Abraham Green with proof.
I know that he lived in Mecklenburg Co Va with his wife Ann Coleman Green.
Their son John Coleman Green married in Lunnenburg Va. I'm not familiar with
these counties.I know that John Coleman Green and family moved to Tn in
1800's. I will see if I can get copy of Wm Green's will. Thanks. M.E.

Can anyone tell me if Amy Clay who first married Wm Green, the son of Thomas the Seagull, left a will after her second marriage. I'm sure she must have had children with Wm prior to her second marriage. If she did can someone tell me where I might find a copy? Or if anyone knows if Wm left a will? I am a descendant of theirs. Would appreciate anything you might care to share. Thanks. M.E. jsorensen4(a)cfl.rr.com
One of the proposed places of origin for the ancestors of some of the Clays
in America is Derbyshire, England.
Here's a website that has a complilation of
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~spire/Yesterday/index.htm
There are wills, bastardy bonds, cemeteries, and so on. Lots of
possibilities here.
Have fun.

I looked at the work I found that you and Bill LaBach had done on RYC's
speech (which, sorry to say, I missed) and compared it with items found in
other resources, particularly the Isle of Wight Wills and Administrations.
We have a "Wall problem" -- two Clays and two John Walls, two counties, with
one county in the middle.
I wish someone would run this by RYC, as I'm sure he has looked at all of
this and come to some conclusions.

Hi Pat,
Bob Clay (Robert Young Clay) uncovered Elizabeth years ago.
Some of his research is posted in this note and others on GenForum/Clay.

I'll be seeing Bob in early March and will ask him. I would think the two
John WALLs and Two CLAYs are really the same, as the Counties are so close
together. Tim

Ned
Did you have an opportunity to read the two other e-mails I sent on this
subject?
Dec 27 and 28.
I looked at the work I found that you and Bill LaBach had done on RYC's
