Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Thanks for the link. Changed /wmmarryqtr/ to /wmmaryqtr/ in order to make

For those of you interested in and not having access to the Willam & Mary
Quarterly there are certain parts of issues at the following URL hosted by
Rootsweb:
http://rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/special/wmmarryqtr/index.htm
I have skimmed a few of the indices and found Charles Clay, 1645 in one
issue and John Clay, etal in another index.
Good luck,

All Members,
Please be advised that the list is for research concerning the CLAY surname.
If the Clay Family Society has articles of interest for all members they
should be shared. The list is not the venue for ordering copies of newsletters
produced by them. Too my knowledge they have their own web site those items
may be obtained. The List is not a secondary function of the Clay Family
Society nor its officers. Let us all stay within the bounds of what the list weas
created for.
Sincerely,
Charles A. Clay - CLAY List Admin.
Pam,
Right now I can't do any newsletters as I am in the midst of a move and
everything is out of sorts and unavailable. Hoping to have things back up
and working again by the middle of Nov. if you would like to email me then.
Unless you have publisher on your computer I can't email it to you anyway.
Karen

Janice,
The newsletter goes out the first of the month, and yours went out with
the
rest of the societies today. If you signed up at the gathering that is why
you didn't get anything yet. The newsletter comes out Sept, Dec, March &
june... usually mailed on the first unless something comes up.
If you don't have it by next Friday drop me a line and I'll mail you
another!
Welcome to the Society! If you have any questions drop me a line.
Karen

Hi Karen:
I signed up for membership in the society this summer, but I have not
received anything on it yet. No newsletter yet for Sept. I am not sure I
am on the address list yet. Have others received theirs?
Just in case, if I don't receive a copy of the newsletter, could you save
me one?

For those of you who might like more information on the Clay Family Society,
I have six issues of the September issue of "Pieces of Clay", which is the
newsletter for the society. I would be happy to send them to the first six
people who send me a mailing address. Unfortunately I can only send to
people living in the US.
Our newsletter this month features information on our next gathering which
is going to be in Huntsville, Alabama 2008; a descendancy on Jonas Clay;
some headstone photo's that we are looking for family information on; and an
article on DNA & Genealogy!
We've launched a two new committee's, one on Clay cemetery preservation and
the other to start documenting lineages for the society archives and
publication in a journal. Both committee's are looking for members who
would be willing to sign up and get your hands full of CLAY!
Be sure to send me an address if you would like one of those SIX
newsletters!
