Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I don't know if it has anything to do with it or not but since I downloaded
AOL 8.0 I have been receiving all kinds of spam I did not sign up for and
LOTS of emails from people I don't know with attachments some have been
screen savers and one was titled "Height" I have no clue who or what they are
but DID NOT open them. It seems the more spam I am reporting and blocking
the more I am getting. Something is "rotten" here and I am strongly
suspecting it is the new supposedly "spam blocker of AOL" so beware of any
and all from anyone you don't know. I am deleting and reporting so much I am
ready to throw my hands up.
So DO BE CAREFUL OF VIRUS'S.

Hi all - Just a warning. Three times last evening, I received an email containing a virus. I use Norton and my AV program warned me that the attachment contained a virus and I wasn't affected. Here are the details. The sender name was "rmdennis", all lower case letters. The subject line said "meeting notice" The attachment contains a virus identified as W32.klez.h@mm that is known to Norton, but it's still a dirty little beast. Be aware and beware! Diane Bingham
