This is not my line-Eppes is, but for what it is worth, I have the name is
Sarah Jane Royall and she married John Wilkenson 1735. They had a daughter
Sarah born 1740, died 1805 in NC. She married Isham Blankenship.
Hope this is of some help to you. It was nice seeing that what I had on this
family was the same as you had, only I did not have a Phoebe as daughter of
Henry and Katherine Banks. I only had 3 children. Pat

Did you have a date for Sarah Jane? she would have been born about 1715-1720
if this was her first marriage, so she can't be the d/o katherine banks who
was born in 1627, we must be missing a generation
Do you have any other dates?

I have not heard of a "Lucretia Clay" as of yet. I am still trying to
figure out the parents of Michael & Christina Clay of Lebanon Co, PA. They
would have been born about 1800-1815. Their son, John Henry Clay, was born
1838. JH Clay later moved to Amherst CO, VA.
Chris
Have you ever heard of a Lucretia Clay born about 1824? Pat

Greetings,
In my previous posting, I had queried about anyone knowing any info on
John Henry Clay of Lebanon Co, PA (later Amherst Co, VA) born in January of
1838. I have recently found out (through family lore) that he may have been
related to the famous Senator (Congressman?) Henry Clay of Kentucky. I know
that John was born to Michael & Christina Clay but absolutely no other
information, including dates, etc, is known about them. Any help would be
appreciated - esp. from anyone with links to Henry Clay, the famous
(infamous?) political figure...
Chris
Hi, My name is Lynda I am new to the Clay list.
Green Clay born abt.1813 NC, his wife
Martha ? born abt.1813 TN and children.
Mary Clay born abt.1834 Rutherford Co.,TN,
John Clay,Henry Clay,David Clay,William Clay,
and Martha Clay.Any information appreciated.
Thank you Lynda
Gary Clearlock, I too have been looking for Clays from Yorkshire England.
They migrated to Michigan, and I have the info from there on to my own line.
Are yours from Yorkshire? If you have unsubscribed, I hope someone will
give me your e-mail address.
Margaret Clay Motter
PS I have NEVER seen this kind of behavior on ANY list, and it doesn't say
much for the character of anyone of you involved. Please keep this to
genealogy!!!!
I've been sitting and watching all of this, and I don't know how all this started, but all I can think of are the poor people a couple of years from now searching the archives at rootsweb and finding all these posts. I really hope y'all can work out your differences so we can get back to research. Yeah, I know, butt out Marci. Everyone have a great week
My Clays are one of my collateral lines. My cousin Clella Thorn married
Henry Nelson Clay in Lake City AR in Nov, 1924. They had one son, Billy Nelson Clay, who now lives in Texas. Henry's parents were Jackson H. and Mattie (maiden name unk.) Clay. Jackson's mother was Emmaline Wheatley Clay. Henry was born in Dyersburg, Dyer Co, TN. I'm researching this line more for Billy than for me. Henry died in 1951, and Clella remarried, so Billy never really got a lot of info on his grandparents. The first he knew of their names was when I told him...so this really is more a labor of love. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

am angry. Yes, Nancy does all the work. That's the problem. She doesn't
know WHEN to stop. Nancy is a wonderful person, BUT she sucks to work with.
No matter how hard you work, no matter what you do, she has to OVER WORK it,
OVER DO IT, over write and censor, and hammer you, until you just give in
just to make her stop. I've worked on BOTH of the CLAY GATHERINGS. I've
put my heart and soul into both of them. If you think working on the
Gathering and having your work mean absolutely nothing is such great fun,
can I forward your name to work on the next gathering? GREAT!
Thanks for your thoughts! And yes, I shared your hate mail with the WHOLE

What a great thing to come from Vacation to!

I don't know who you think you are, but I don't appreciate your nastiness
spread out over the internet, and causing problems with
innocent people. I can't blame Nancy Greathouse for pulling out if she
had to do with the likes of you. You don't deserve to be a member of
the Clay Organization and I don't want to hear from you again. I'm glad your
not in my family line. Celia

Dear Clay List Members,
Your cousin, and my husband, Ken Clay, and I were unable to attend the
Clay Gathering this year. We were able to make it to a family reunion
of not-too-distant Clay cousins in Louisville, Mississippi on May 31 &
June 1. We had a great time, and we hope you did, too. We thought about
you and talked about you at our gathering hoping things would go well.
All of you who work on the Gathering amaze me because it must be
tremendously hard work. You do it all for free while you are working and
taking care of your families and your homes.
I've always looked at genealogy as a spiritual endeavor, and I feel that
it must greatly please our ancestors on the other side that you work so
hard to help their descendants connect to them and remember them. I
thank you so much for that.
We've been having an interesting discussion on the PSYCHIC-ROOTS-L list
about how important this genealogy work is and how we feel
that it can help to heal generations of family by bringing everyone back
together after all of the things that can happen to pull a family apart.
What you do holding this Gathering is such a special endeavor towards
that end, a unique event.
I know that you must all be exhausted. I hope that you will all take
some time for yourselves and be gentle with yourselves because all of
that hard work does take a toll.
Love from your cousin,
Renée Rogers Clay
New Orleans, LA
Can anyone tell me how to remove myself from this list?

You can unsubscribe me anytime you want. I signed up for genealogical information not family squabbles. If you want to do that then do it via snail mail where it should be done. Not everyone who gets these crappy messages are related to you. I signed up in hopes of connecting with some of my Clay relations in England not a bunch of squabbling Americans. Yes I am an American living in Ore so don't say I should stay on my side of the Atlantic because I'm already there. If you want to do genealogy and share with others then do. If you want to back bite and accuse others of this and that then do it but have the common descendancy to do it in private. As I said, unsubscribe me as I don't need to be reading this ungenealogical crap you're all putting out.

Greetings all...
I am brand new to the CLAY digest. My GG-Grandfather, John Henry Clay,
was born in Lebanon, PA to a Michael & Christine Clay in 1838. John later
moved to Amherst Co., VA where he married Martha Cora Morris in 1898. I am
looking for any information on records of either John Henry Clay, himself,
and/or his parents. Thanks for the help.
Chris
I had seen I believe a David Clay in Stark Co Ohio Census. I was looking for
another family and ran across the Clays. I believe it was 1830, 1840 or
1850. Sorry I can't help more. There was another Clay also listed.
Judy
I have decided that I have had enough. No matter how much you try to make
things work, It just seems that someone has to have there own way with
everything. So guess what guys!
I am NOT doing membership. I am not doing anything. Nancy can have it
all. Welcome to the Nancy show. You don't want me involved you want it all
to yourself. Well guess what Baby - You can have it.
Consider me DONE with anything that has to do with any role in the new
society. I've had it with micromanaging, backstabbing and the whole nine
yards. Those of you NOT on the committees for this organization can draw
your own conclusions. I've spent the past year or two dealing with this
fussing and fighting and backstabbing and I have had it!
Have your conversations, change the rules and not tell anyone. But do it
WITHOUT KAREN KRUGMAN. Enough is enough.
Lindsey, if you want to talk to me, please email me privately.
Otherwise I will send what I have to Lindsey and he can take it from there.
Regards,
Karen Krugman
is anyone researching David Clay from Pennsylavnia to OH who died in 1813? i
am seeking information on his son Solomon born 1787. Also wonder if David
had a brother named George W. clay
thanks so much
