I've finally gotten my fathers birth certificate, and thus, his fathers
first name. (until now he was only known by the nickname of Buck) So I'm now
looking for Ora Clay born in Iowa. I've heard of the first name Ira, but
never Ora, does anyone have a clue as to the meaning of the name, the
culture it came from, etc?? I don't even have a clue about the nationality
this family is from, so any info would be very welcome.

Do you know if Henry Clay or, more probable, his wife, inherited any land on
Swift Creek from William Mitchell? Has anyone seen William Mitchell's will?
Or his wife's? Or were the Mitchell's neighbors? Thanks,
