Gynger, I've kind of deleted all the Clay family gathering posts, thinking I
won't be able to attend. When is it again? What does one need to bring?

I think that we have a couple of different lines, some of the Pa. Clays were
talking about coming, also the Va. Clays, I have not seen the group sheets,
but every Clay line is welcome this is going to be a group effort to try to
sort all the mysteries of all the lines. Gynger Cook
They are from various lines, most traceable to John Clay who arrived in
Jamestown in 1612/13. Are you interested in receiving a registration packet?
Thanks for your interest in the gathering. I look forward to a great event.
Nancy
Actually we have quite an assortment of descendants - at least in the
submissions for the book.

Jean we are sorry that you will not be joining us, but your health comes
first, this Williamsburg Gathering will just be the first we hope, of many to
come. Maybe you will be able to join us next time, take care, gynger cook
Libby I did receive your registration but did not realize that your name was
Bernice so I now have that cleared up with us and will do so with the hotel
also. Not to fret about it. Who did you send the monies to for the books?
I will need to get it transferred to me. Someone on the committee I hope.
Heh heh. Thanks much and we look forward to meeting you in less than a
month.
Nancy
Bernice Elizabeth Clay AKA Libby Clay.
I sent my registration weeks ago and also made my hotel reservations. If you
have not received them please let me know.
I had another senior moment and sent the payment for the books to the
incorrect person. Someone, please help this failing old lady out.
Thanks,
Libby
The following persons have sent their submissions to Karen for the book but
have NOT registered for the event. IF you are planning to attend the Clay

Hi everyone!
I've been here working on CLAY submissions and we have a small problem.
There were quite a few of you who sent your submission in with your Clay
gathering registration. No problem there except that you did NOT put an
address or a way to contact you on your Pedigree charts. And right now your
submission is with me in Michigan and your registration is with Nancy in
Ohio. I would hate to see you not make contacts with other Clay researchers
because they can't find you. If your name appears on my list below I need
an address from you ASAP in order to type up your submission for the book.

Maybe I'll catch up with my mail when I retire, in 2010!
Hi,
Thanks to everyone for their thought on attire. Here in the deep south we
wear shorts and polo type shirts most of the time but in a conference room it
may be too cold for shorts and sandals since I am cold natured.
Regards,
Libby
Libby I will be wearing a pant suit but not too dressy. I think Gynger said
before that she probably will wear a dress and Karen and Judy will probably
were pant suits also. Hope that help in your decision.
Nancy Acord-Greathouse
Hello,
I am looking for some help with some Clays. This is what I have from family
records. This family lived in Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri. Oscar ran
an ice company in Moberly.
1. Oscar Tatum Clay b. 15 January 1876 (1920 census says Missouri) d. 3
February 1940
...+ Susie Elrod Love b. 18 March 1880 (1920 census says Missouri) d. 17
June 1962
....2. Lillian Clay b. 27 January 1900 d. 6 June 1919
....2. Grover Travis Clay 9 March 1904 d. 21 February 1973
....2. Roscoe Merle Clay b. 28 January 1908 d. 3 June 1969
....2. Doris Mardell Clay b. 17 Jan 1913 d. 29 April 1998
....2. Mildred Eila Clay b. 16 April 1919 d. 2 April 1994
....2. Robert Eugene Clay b. 14 October 1922 d. 20001
Another researcher told me that Oscar's parents are George W. Clay b. 17 May
1831 in Monroe County, Missouri, d. 23 May 1902 in Monroe County, Missouri
and Mary Jane Heathman. But she also said that the parents of George W.
Clay are Charles Clay and Mary J. Heathman. This is what the LDS site has
as well, and I believe is highly suspect.
If anyone can help shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you so much!
Good luck at the reunion! I hope it goes well!
Thanks, Shana Summers, Plano, Texas
