Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Nancy.
Good to hear from you. I don't think I ever did get the info from Jacquelyn.
As I remember, she tried to send it, but it came in coded and I couldn't
read it. It has been so long since I travelled to the States, I can't
remember how long it took. However, 8 hours sticks in my mind depending on
where I was flying to. If flying into Atlanta, I usually took Delta. When
flying into Pennsylvania, I took whatever was available, quite often United
into Dullas, Washington D.C. Off to work now. Speak to you later.
All the best
Charlie
CHARLIE DID YOU EVER GET THE INFO FROM JACQUELIN? HOW ARE YOU AND THE
FAMILY? HOW LONG IS THE FLIGHT TO LONDON? WHICH AIRLINES AND WHAT TYPE OF
PLANE DO YOU USUALLY TAKE? HOPE YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING BUT I NEED TO START
PLANNING AS I AM SCARED OF FLYING SO I HAVE TO GET PSYCHED UP. TALK AT YOU
LATER.

I don't have any information on the book and I must have missed the details
on the Clay reunion. I believe the one who mentioned it was Mr. Huck who
started the myfamily.com site for the Clays, but when I looked at the site I
did not see it listed there or anything else.
It would be nice to see it posted to the site where all of us could see it.
Has anyone else gotten their invitation to the site?
Peggy
I need information on the Clay book for Jamestown. I also need exact
information as to the days of this reunion. I think I must have missed that
info. Is there a site where I can get this info? I will send my
line--through Mitchell Clay of Mercer, WV into Wyoming County, WV. if I know
where to send it and in what format. Thanks, Catherine Cook Sepko
I have started adding my family tree charts to my
"Twigs of Inman & Spence" website at MyFamily.com. I
have so much information, I ran out of memory using
Family Tree Maker so I fell back on my trusty old PAF
(which seems to hold everything).
The charts are being loaded into the file cabinet area
of the website. I have an index in the announcement
area which shows what has been added. This is going
to be a monumental undertaking. I'm loading the
charts first and then plan to go back and insert
family group records later.
Ancestors include the RI and NC Inmans; VA, MD, NC,
TN, MO (Jasper County), Spences; VA, NC, TN, AL
Spencers; NJ/NY/PA/OH/IA/MO Hoppers; PA/VA/IL/MO
Kesslers; PA/OH/IL/IA Klees (Clays); etc. If you
don't have access to the website and you want to see
what I have, visit the home page below and send a
request to the Ancestry.com e-mail address at the
bottom of the home page. I will then put in a request
for you, and you will receive an invitation from
MyFamily.com with your log-in and password.

Hi Gerrie,
I am interested in learning more about you William Clay who was born in 1858.
I posted some information and a picture on the new Clay site on myfamily.com
if you would like to go back there and look at it.
I am not familiar with the places you said your Clays were from. What state
would that be?
Peggy
Hi all,
Here are the Clay's in my family tree:
Elizabeth A. Clay born dec. 7, 1898 - 1978
William Clay
William Edwin Clay May 7, 1858 - 1929
Jane Clay
Our Clay family was from Stoke on Trent and Potters.
Hope we can find some matches.

Why do you want to exclude folks? It loses its value as a search tool if it
is restricted to just a few people

Hi Darrell,
All resources are gladly welcomed and will provide to you what I have on
the CLAYS of Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama.
All the best
Charlie Clay Campbell
Dear Darrell,
I think this is a fantastic ideal. Please add me to the list. I have
a "feeling" you "may" have some problems however with a few of the lines. For
instance the Henry's. I personally know of one person who has her Henry as
the son of Mitchell (Jr.) and Judah Clay. instead of belonging to Marston
Clay even after I sent her proof. She says my Henry is not the right Henry
son of Mitchell (Jr.)and Judah Clay that hers is. I have the proof so I just
didn't argue with her. That kind of problem is what I am speaking of. I hope
you will be able to handle that kind of stuff and have the right info on the
Site. It would be very much appreciated.
Good Luck I wish you the best and hope it turns out okay for you.
Marlene
Hi Darrell.
I would be very happy to participate in the Clay Web Site.

We already have:
http://ccainc.net/clayfamily/http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/6025/surnames.htmhttp://genforum.familytreemaker.com/clay/
plus others, perhaps that I haven't found. How would your site be different?
Frankly, I have enough trouble finding time to check the 80+ sites I have in
my genealogy bookmarks on any regular basis as it is.
If you want to make another site, it should minimally cover things that
aren't on the ones listed.

I am planning on building a Clay web site for all Clay family members to add
information on their Clay background. Before I build this, I want to see
how
many would be interested in contributing information to it if I build it.
Only family who are invited to enter can get into the site and all the data
cannot be seen by outsiders who are not authorized to be there.
Let me know if you would be interested in being included in the web site.
It
is absolutely free and will only be used as a reference to others who are
into genealogy.
Thank You
