Hi Darrell,
I received info on this Rebecca from Jodie, gee(a)sccoast.net. I'm not sure if
she is in this group so you might want to contact her directly. She has
Rebecca married to John Marshall:
1. Rebecca CLAY (daughter of Henry CLAY II. and Lucy GREEN) was born on 14
NOV 1752. She was married to John MARSHALL (son of William MARSHALL and Anne
MARSHALL) about 1769. John MARSHALL was born in 1735 in Henrico Co., VA. He
died about 1815 in Orange Co., NC. Rebecca CLAY and John MARSHALL had the
following children:
2 i. John MARSHALL Jr. was born in 1770.
3 ii. Mary MARSHALL.
4 iii. Nancy MARSHALL was born in 1773.
5 iv. Charles MARSHALL was born in 1778.
6 v. Lucy Jones MARSHALL.
7 vi. Elizabeth MARSHALL.
8 vii. Phoebe MARSHALL.
+9 viii. Henry Clay MARSHALL.
SECOND GENERATION
9. Henry Clay MARSHALL was born in 1780. He was married to Susanna Hines
TOMLINSON. Henry Clay MARSHALL and Susanna Hines TOMLINSON had the following
children:
+10 i. Nancy Hines MARSHALL.

Darrell,
Was this same Rebecca who married Wm Tiller? Where can I find more on Henry
Clay II. One family tradition suggests Rebecca was related to someone famous -
always thought they meant the statesman - Henry Clay - but I could never find
a connection. Thanks Janet King
Hello all Clay researchers! Could anyone help me out with a Nicholas Clay?
He at one time lived in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and then bought
land in Lincoln County, North Carolina (1760s). He may have had sons named
Abraham and Isaac and a daughter Susannah, probably more. He died about
1803. Son Isaac is listed as administrator for his estate, but he dies and
several men are appointed to take care of the estate of Nicholas in 1807.
I have only found reference to these in books, but will send off for the
info. But, has anyone ever heard of him? Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys!
I'll admit it, I have access to the microfilms for the Burlington Co. NJ
Marriage Books, Vol. A-E. These Vols. include 1795-abt. 1854. I'll have
access for 1795-1819 only for another couple of weeks. If you would like
look-ups, I'll be happy to do them for you. Keep in mind that I have to do
this around the rest of my schedule and the schedule at the FHC. So, e-mail me
with your requests, but be sure and give me an approximate date, so I don't
have to check all the indexes. If I remember correctly, the 1795-1819 indexes
are double indexed for both Males and Females, so I can look up either one.
For 1819 forward, it is only indexed by Male, so if you send me females to
look up, I'll be saving those until last and only if I can get to them.
Gloria
Linda, I assume you run the Clay rootsweb. My information on Henry is really
limited at this point. I was trying to find more information on John Brown
and his wife Manda. When I tracked them down in the 1900 census in Greenup Co
Ky, they had two Clay boys, John and Isaac living with them. I ran a search
and found no Clay's in Greenup, so I ran the neighbor county Floyd. The
second Clay listing I found was Henry with a daughter Manda. I had my match,
but no other information. What do you have on Henry's Parentage and Mary Jane
Chaffins? Do you have any information on another Henry Clay from Floyd Co,
married a Blanch Williams. Both were born in late 1800's and had only one
child Maxine. Many thanks Linda for the help. If you can find me a date of
death for Henry, I will check the courthouse for a will. Looking forward to
hearing from you.
Hello All!
I thought I'd post what I have found so far and see if anyone could add to
it,
Wallace Calvin Clay b. 4 Nov. 1887 Ozark, Franklin Co. Ark. married Iona
Agnes Morgan/ d. 19 Feb. 1952. They had 9 children.
Piondexter Clay b. 29 Jan. 1847 Madison Co. Alabama /m. Josaphine Adeline
Mathis Jan. 1870/
d. 29 Jan 1936
William H. Clayb. abt 1825 m. Mary ? They had 6 children. (that I know
of!)
I would love to know if any of the gang could add to this line!
Thank you!

Hi
I am collecting BEAUMONTs from around the world for a BEAUMONT
database.. I have a Matthias BEAUMONT who married a Hannah CLAY about
1820 in Yorkshire in England. Eventually they settled in Clarksville,
Montogmery County, TN and in Dyersburg, Dyer County, TN.
Do any CLAY researchers have any BEAUMONTs which they could
tell me about? I am not interested in information about the current
generation of BEAUMONTs?

Originally from Sinfin and/or Merrybower, near Barrow, outside
Derby, then for several generations from Burton-on-Trent, whence
they moved away. My grandfather was the last to leave, in about
1926.
