I'm looking for information on my maternal grandfather James T Claxton. The T stands for Thomas. For a period of at least 10 years he was a resident in Dagenham, Essex. It was seem he was a tenant and lived with a family. the woman of the house was called Elizabeth and she remained at the property until 2000. This is all i know about this man. I have no dates for any events in his life, or any other places of residence. The only prove that he ever existed ( apart from my Mum and Uncle) is that he appears on the electoral role.
Any help would be much appreciated, even if it is simply an idea of where else to look. I am also aware that this man possibly led a double life and so may have a family that know nothing of my mum and uncle.

The birth dates for our Mary Jane's are a little bit off, but I suppose they could be the same person!
The Mary Jane Claxton I'm looking for is the daughter of William Claxton and Ann Malloy. She was born in October 1860 Greenbush, Rensselaer County, New York. I do not know who she married, when she died, or anything about her children.
I have my Mary Jane in the 1870 & 1880 censuses with her mom in Renssaler County, and after that nothing.
Does the marriage record you have on your Mary Jane mention who her parents were or where she was born?

I have a Mary Jane Claxton born 10-21-1861 died 1-28-1896, I know her family, who she married and a great deal of descendants, I don't know if we are talking about the same one, but I have never been able to find out anything on her. I have been searching for years, I do have a copy of her marriage certificate, if you feel this might be the same one, and some census records, my Mary Jane was married in TN and died there also, I have pics of her headstone too, I really hope this is the same one.
