Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Avery Claxton's wife was Leatha, not Sitha. Sarah Frances , wife of John Wesley Claxton was called Fannie. She was the daughter of Morgan Smith and Malinda Statham. She is listed with her parents on the 1850 Rutherford Co Census in Middleton District. The marriage record of John W. Claxton and Fannie Smith is recorded in Bedford Co TN in 1866. They are recorded in Lincoln Co TN 1870, Franklin Co TN 1880, Bedford Co TN 1900, Ellis Co TX in 1910. He died in Navarro Co and is buried in Ellis Co TX. She was living with son Matthew in Ellis Co. in 1920, and she died in Dallas Co. She is buried in Ellis Co TX.
John Wesley Claxton was a Union Soldier, serving in Co C 2nd Kentucky Cavalry, USA and has a pension file which gives much information about this family. I would like to have information about John Wesley Claxton's brother James H. (Jim) Claxton. Can anyone help me? Thelma
