You're right, too many greats. And, Yes, Hiram E. had 17 children, two by his first wife,Alina Osgood Who died in childbirth along with the child and 15 by his second wife. My Mom [Guinevere Mary Wetherby]called her Grandma Hattie [Hattie A]. Mom told me Gr.Grandpa Clayson was a little man, under five feed, and he cried when he found out there would be 'no more babies', The two children by Aline were my maternal grandmother Pheobe Ester[Clayson]Wetherby and her brother, George clayson, I think they were raised by their grandmother. Does that sound about right? thanks, Barbara Germain-Beverly

The relationship you claim to David doesn't sound logical to me, there are too many greats in your computations. David and Fidelia/Phidelia Clason had one son, George, and one daughter, Lydia. I have records of George's descendants and he had one son, Hiram, and a number of daughters. Hiram had 17 children and I have records on all of them. David's daughter Lydia had one son, named Ira Clayson, father unknown, that David raised. Ira didn't marry and there is no record he had children. Ira was born in 1857 and died in 1937, in Rixford, McKean County, PA, struck by a car while riding his bicycle.
