Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Just in case any of you got the same E-mail as I did....
I received an urgent E-mail telling me to delete the SULFNBK.EXE file from my C drive, that it had been placed there as an attachment to an E-mail and is a virus that will become active on June 1, 2001.
In my concern over not wanting to delete any possible necessary files from my hard drive, I went in search to see if this was a hoax, and it is.
If you have received an E-mail like this, and would like to read more about the fact that it is a hoax, please go to:

Sincerely,
Peggy Collins

Surname: CLAWSON, HIATT, HIETT
-------------------------
I have in my possession a letter written in 1870 by Wm. F. Clawson of Greensfork
(Indiana, I think) to my great, great grandfather, Charles E. Hiatt when
Clawson was a student at Quaker college (Earlham) in Richmond, Indiana.
I've put it all on a web site, and pass this along to other hunters and
gatherers out there. Does anyone know about this man, who was apparently
my great great grandfather's good friend? The Franky in the letter is Charles
Hiatt's brother, Franky Hiatt.
