4, 1866.
His son (my grandfather) was Fritz (Fred) Claussen born Aug. 27, 1881 . He
was one of more than 7 children. Sorry I have no more information about
Marx's siblings which could be a brother to Frederick (b.1849)

Thank you Glenn Claussen for your help.
Pat, we could have a connection. I am sure his name was
Frederick Claussen/Clausen & he could have been born after Caroline
Louisa Claussen, as she was born in Germany also. Douglas Co. NE, I
think they could have been in that area, she married & moved east into
IA as did some other relatives of mine, I will keep the name Hans in
mind. Thank you & I will keep your name in case I find anything also!
Sincerely, Patricia
My gg grandfather was Frederick Claussen born in Germany in 1849. I do
not know anything about his family except that his father may have been
named Hans. He came to Douglas County, Nebraska and married Regina Nusser
in 1878. There are probably dozens of Fred Claussens but wanted to share
this with you "just in case".

Hi Patricia
I would love to help you with info on Fred Claussen, but unfortunately I have
no info on him. My earliest known ancestor, Emil Henry Claussen, came from
Schleswig-Holstein area which was owned at different times by Germany and by
Denmark. He was born in 1814 and there were lots of Claussens in that area, but
we have never been able to establish his ancestry. He died in Illinois in
1849. We have found several other Claussens in the area on census records, etc.
but can't make any connections on siblings or parents. Good luck in your
search!
Glenn Claussen
