Are you refering to Hans Reimer Claussen? If so I think you have some innacurate information. My g-g-g-g-grandfather was Hans Reimer Claussen. He left Germany in 1852 after he was expelled by the Danes following the Schleswig-Holstein rebellion. He was a member of the German parliament from 1848 to 1849. He settled in Davenport, Iowa, became a lawyer and eventually opened his own law practice and even became an Iowa state senator a few years later. He had one daughter that I am aware of. Her name was Elfrieda. Elfrieda married my g-g-g grandfather, Christian Mueller. Christian Mueller, also a veteran of the Schleswig-Holsterin rebellion, was the founder of the Mueller Lumber Company. My grandfather, William Mueller is still alive and living in Davenport. I was born and grew up there. Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to do any research at all now since I am in Iraq. But I would be very interested in speaking to you some more about the Reimer Claussen you are
referring to. Have a great day

Dear Debra,
Reimer Claussen came to america in 1889 or 98, He had with him his wife
Margarethe Rohr Peters and his son Theodore Peter Claussen, my ggfather, and
sisters, one son died some where on the way to Davenport, Ia. There are many
Claussen graves there but have no idea who they are. Reimer had other brothers
and sister in Schlegwig/Holstein. I don't know where they are. They were from
the Dithmarchen area.
Marian Claussen Bentz. Would you want better details?
