Mary, so glad to get your message. That query was posted a long time ago, and I'm surprised to have a reply, nevertheless; and we are family. I have now quite a complete Clauss family history, thanks to Carl Clauss who lives in Texas, and my own research.
Please contact me when you wish.
Thanks, Rhys

George Clauss was my father's uncle. (George's wife Hazel was my paternal grandmother's sister.) George did not die of an electrical shock. He was watching workers torch off the top of a metal drum when it exploded and killed him. Hazel died some years ago, as did Ronnie. I believe their other son, George, is still alive and living in the family home in Middletown. I spent several summer vacations there as a child, after Uncle George died, and remember Aunt Hazel and Georgie with great fondness. Dad is going to give George a call and let him know about this post. I am sure he can fill you in on family history much better than I can.
