Here is what I have. We are speaking of the same Clauss family. George Clauss of Middletown died from an electrical shock in a plant there. His son's, George and Ronnie are my second cousins, and I spoke to George some time ago. He has a bad heart, but I believe is still living in the family home, and never married. Ronnie has children, but I've never been in contact with him.My grandfather, also a George Clauss, was in business in Elizabeth with Henry [Clauss Bottling Works/soda and mineral water] from 1860 till the depression.
I am confused in that, for one, the Clauss's were hung up on the George and Henry names. There is no more space for this, send me your E-mail address, I'll continue.

I believe we are talking of the same Oscar. My records show Fredonia as his birthplace and Ozaukee Co is mentioned on a number of the vital records found here in Shawano Co.Oscar's birth is given as 24 of Mar 1870. I do not have a documented record of his fathers name so perhaps Adolph was not his father, but his uncle? The 3 people that I have documented as Adolphs sons are Maximillan, Homer, and and Frank.
There are also a Wilbert and a Fred. All of these families lived in the Township of Hutchins and I find no other of the Clauss surname anywhere in the county.

I have recently been doing a search of Shawano Co Wisconsin, and have records of an Oscar Clauss who was born in 1870, the son of Adolph Clauss and Lisette. Also have data on his spouse and 7 children.
I am interested especially in a brother Maxmillian or possibly Homer Maxmillian, who seems to have vanished after his 1879 marriage.
