Well, I assure you that descendants of the Clausers Are living in Berks County. My Grandmother was a Clauser, and 2 children of hers, many grandchildren and great grandchildren live in Berks County. My Clauser branch stopped farming in the late 1800's.

Sandy,
Would you happen to know if there are Clausers still living in the Berks County area? I live about 28 miles south of the Robeson Twp. area. I wonder if some are still farming.

Katie,
Your photo did not come through, thanks for trying. I have one
of my grandmother, Laura Clauser, age 25 , taken about 1920. I was
told that the Clausers had jet black hair and were on the tall
side. You can see this picture on my Lohr Family Home page if you

Ltr Petty to HRJ 30 Nov 1993 reports his search of the parish of Ottersheim in Baden-Wuerttemberg through 1740--records begin in 1706. He found the marriage 16 Jan 1719/1720 of Georg Clauser of Ottersheim to Anna Maria Weitzer (Veinzren rather than Weitzer in the original records) of the village of Ottlingen.
Carol Ellison, 1725 Laurel Lane, West Sacramento CA 95691-2501, (916)371-8317, gives descendants chart beginning with Hans Clauser b. 1640; his son Benedict Clauser b. 1670; his grandsons Jacob Clauser b. 1699 and Hans Jarick Klauser (1700-1745); wife Anna Maria Weizer d. 1745, wife of Hans Jarick Klauser; and 5 children of Hans Jarick Klauser:

"Passenger and Immigration Lists" by P. Wm. Filby and Mary E. Does Durnbaugh record young Johannes?
All of the passengers on the Allen arriving 11 Sep 1729, James Craig(e)s, Master, were members of the German Baptist Brethren or Dunkards, and the founder of that sect, Alexander Mack, was one of them. They came from the Sinsheim area of Germany (close to Ottersheim

Sandy,
I have the connection between your direct ancestor and my direct ancestor.
There were 4 Clauser brothers from Earl Twp., George, Heinrich, Peter and John. John is my direct ancestor, the one I mentioned in my first post who was married to Catherine Feigle. Your ancestor, Samuel, was the second son of Peter.
