Robert Reef Blauser
BLAUSER Robert Reef Blauser. A funeral service celebrating the life of
Robert R. Blauser, 81, of Fresno, formerly of Hebron, will be held
Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Fairview United Methodist Church,
Pickerington, with Pastor Jeremy Shank as celebrant. Burial will follow
at Basil Cemetery, Baltimore. Robert passed peacefully at home Monday,
October 6, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 8,
1927 in Liberty Twp., Fairfield County, the son of the late Stanley and
Cornelia Reef Blauser. He was the president of his class (1946) at
Liberty-Union High School, and was a graduate of Hocking Technical
College and Ohio Dominican University. He served as a Yeoman Seaman in
the US Navy, from April 26, 1948 until January 31, 1950. He worked as an
independent grocer in Baltimore, taught elementary school in Somerset
and served as assistant superintendent at Dawes Arboretum in Newark. He
loved nature and animals, and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was the
founding advisor of the National Roaders 4-H Club in southwest Licking
County, as well as a founding member of the Licking Co. Archaeology and
Landmarks Society. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in
Canal Lewisville. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, the
former Norma Jean Hornung, whom he married on November 25, 1948; his
children, Dr. Cathrine Allyn (Jack) Darr of Fresno, Molly (Lee) Pletcher
of Pataskala, Bobbie (Gary) Schnitkey of Champaign, IL., David (Lisa)
Blauser of Crooksville, Victor Blauser of Columbus; 12 grandchildren, 6
great-grandchildren; brothers, Stanley Jr. (Barbara) Blauser of
Stockton, N.J.; brother-in-law, Wayne Fritz of Baltimore;
sisters-in-law, Becky Todd of Baltimore, Pat Blauser of Canal
Winchester; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his son Norman Blauser and brothers Kenneth
Blauser and Robert Todd, and a sister Charmaine Fritz. The family will
receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the HOSKINSON FUNERAL
HOME, 285 East Main St. (U.S. Rt 40) in Kirkersville, and one hour
(10-11 a.m.) prior to service Thursday morning at the Church. An on-line

LIMA, Ill. -- Harold E. Klauser, 84, of the North Adams Home in Mendon,
formerly of Lima, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 25, 2008) in the
home. Harold was born April 1, 1924, in Quincy, a son of Robert and
Josephine Huber Klauser. He was a lifelong farmer. Harold was a longtime
member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Quincy and was currently a
member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. Harold truly enjoyed
farming and his beloved pets. Harold's family wishes to extend their
gratitude to all the nurses and staff at North Adams Home, especially
Lisa Slough, for the wonderful care that they provided for Harold.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Mast of Fowler, and numerous nieces,
nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his
parents; three brothers, Alvin, Leonard and Ernest Klauser and their
spouses, also two sisters, Bernice Bockhold and Mildred Schreacke and
their spouses. SERVICES: A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday in St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon by the Rev. Jeff Stone
and the Rev. Louis Schlangen. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
VISITATION: 6-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home in
Quincy and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at St.
Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. MEMORIALS: North Adams Home
