There are deaths reported in this book for MOSSER/MOSER in Lebanon Co, PA 1812-
1880, but am not going to cite them, and if anyone wants to know, just send me
an email! Lebanan Co. is outside the scope of Berks Co. and I will be happy
to answer any requests privately re MOSER/MOSSER privately, if you think your
MOSER/MOSSER were in Lebanon Co PA.
We need to stick to our own 'county kin' here in Berks Co! And stop posting
items for other counties, unless they have kin in Berks Co, and which a
reference to Berks Co should be contained in the 'subject' of the message that
they 'are Berks Co folks'!! The Berks mail-list archives are getting
impossible to find people from Berks!! So many from other counties in the
Berks archives! Just check some of the subject lines!
And we should be cognizant of the subject line of a message to be sent to the
PABERKS list, and 'change it' for the topic/person in Berks Co that we are
searching for or have reference to. You'll see what I mean if you see the
archived emails of PABerks!
Thanks
Diana in AL

Subject: County Formation Lines
When Berks County, PA was formed in 1752 it went high up in Pennsylvania
including parts of what is now Lycoming County, Clinton County, Union
County, Montour County, Snyder County, Columbia County, Northumberland
County, and Schuylkill County.
It makes sense, to me, that the Berks Roostweb list would have quite a lot
of surnames being posted, since the early records for these people would be
found in Berks County rather than the newer counties as they branched off
from Berks. I think this to be the case since the earliest records for
Berks Co. people would be found in either Philadelphia or Chester County
records.
