> Additional information regarding Leona: She was living with her daughter
Elizabeth Reemsnyder-Kerr at the time of her death, recorded by Elizabeth in
the Kerr Family Bible. “Death: 30 Jun 1958, Phoenix, Maricopa, Arizona”. My
wife, the daughter of Elizabeth, also recalls Leona living with them at the
time of her death.
> My records show her born 30 Aug 1879, New Berlin (Canton), Stark, OH;
Burial: Fostoria, Seneca, OH. I fail to show a source for her date of birth
or place of burial.
> She does however appear in the 1880 Census of the 4th Ward, Canton, Stark,
OH, age 1yr, listed as lona; Father: Obediah, Mother: Elizabeth.
> After her 12th child she divorced John and married Joseph Albert Gilhuly
and bore an additional 3 children. This family can be found in the 1930
Census, Newton Falls, Trumble, OH.( Note: The Census lists only 2 children.
The Kerr family Bible notes an additional child, “Twin of James. Died as
infant”. Gender unknown.)
> You note Leona having 11 children with John. You may be missing Dorothy
Lucille, again listed in the Kerr family Bible; “Born 23 May 1898, Died 1918
age 21”.
