Hi Barb:
I am not familiar with those names personally, but I would be happy to post your question to our Clauser mailing list with Rootsweb. Is that okay with you?
Also, is Pottsville in Pennsylvania?
Sandy Clauser Culp

Hi Sandy, I see that you have been researching the Clauser surname. My name is Barbara Brobst Williams and I research on behalf of our Brobst registry. We came across a 1930 census record for Pottsville for a George B Clauser, head of household, age 63, motorman on railway, wife Genevieve, age 53, nephew George Brobst, 19 --- not sure if George is the son of a male Brobst who married a Cllauser sister of George, or male Brobst who was a brother of wife Genevieve( who may have bee a Brobst by birth.) Am hoping you came across this family in your research and have information to help identify where our nephew George Brobst belongs. Thanks for any help you can provide. Barbara

> Can anyone tell me anything about John RODGERS who began the manufacturing
of bricks at the edge of Llewellyn in 1846? This according to the 1975
Bicentennial book for Minersville. It continues on to say the first and
only brick house in the township was erected by Mr. RODGERS in 1861.
(Presently owned by John SMITH) However, Clauser's Church and the Llewellyn
Brick Schoolhouse were also built by bricks from down by "The Brickey."
Later owners of this business were Henry TROUTMAN and Joseph MILLER. Still
later Joseph KAUFFMAN carried on the business extensively and successfully
for many years.
