Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I may have sent this out several months ago. There is a Minnie Clauser listed in this article that may be of interest to someone.

Thanks for the reminder about Clawser and for the generous offer to translate, Lynda! My great grandfather Alfred M. Clauser used to preach the sermon in German one week and English the next. He was a minister in the Missionary Association (a denomination).

FYI - Google.com is currently considered the top search engine. If you enter "Clauser" for your search, it will turn up several sites in German. Google.com offers the option of having the site translated. The translation is not exact, of course, but it can provide some additional information that might be of interest to you.

In a book I believe was entitled Names of Immigrants in Pennsylvania 1727-1776 by Rupp, I found the following:
September 29, 1750:
Ship Osgood, William Wilkie, Captain, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes.
480 passengers included Jacob Clauser and Henry Clauser (names written by clerk).
September 15, 1729:
59 Palatines with families. 126 persons imported in Ship Allen, James Craigie, Master, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes, whence the ship sailed July 7. Included Hans Georg Klauser (written by clerk).
My second cousin once removed found these Clausers in the 1850 census for North Whitehall Township, Lehigh Co., PA:
William 24 blacksmith
Caroline 26
Ca Ann 1 female child (she could not make out her name)
Anyone recognize these folks? I wonder if they are related to my John Clauser 28 carpenter and wife Regina Clauser 24 and two sons Alfred Lewis 5 and Eli Henry 6 months.
They are all listed in the same township on the 1850 census.
