In F Edward Wright's Vol 1, 'Berks Co Church Records of the 18th Century', page 167, there is this at Schwartzwald:
October 15, 1793; Peter KLAUSER and Maria MEYER of Alsace, Berks Co were married.
Also this: p 61
Peter KLAUSER, son of Edward and --; born 10/27/1787; bapt 12/16/1787; sponsors: Peter LIES and wife Barbara.
There must have been more than one PETER!
Here is another but spelled CLAUSER: p 216
Daniel CLAUSER, son of Edward and wife; born 7/30/--; bapt 12/2/1792; sponsors: Friederich LEISS and wife Anna Maria.
(Oley Salem Reformed).
1784 tax book shows:
Philip CLOUSER in Bern 150 acres, 7 people in h/h
George CLOWSER Jr, mason - no land, 6 people in h/h and Sr., blacksmith, 200 acres, and 7 people in h/h, both in Earl Twp and a Henry CLOWSER, single, there in Earl.
KLASSER, Michael in Maxatawny, 100 acres, none for # in h/h
No Edward was shown then on the tax list of 1784.
There is a Peter CLAUSER buried in St John's, Gibraltar, but he is only 1y, 9m, 19d old - died 8/22/1827, buried in row 40. No indication of parents or family other than a 80 year old Catharine CLAUSER buried next to him, wife of John CLAUSER.
There is also a John CLAUSER 1812-1887 and wife Anna 1812-1886 buried in row 10.
source - (Three Robeson Township Cemeteries, compiled by Don DeTemple, pub 1995.)
Some kind of connection, maybe?

Hi everyone:
I haven't had much time to do my own research lately due to work and school. However, I still receive copies of e-mail messages on any Rootsweb mailing list that has the name Clauser. I will continue to send them out to you as I receive them.
Please share your findings with the rest of us, too. That is how we can help one another. Thanks!
