Manetta,
Thanks to a nice researcher named Sandy Culp, I seem to be linking to your
Clauser roots. Sandy sent me your Rev. Daniel Clauser born 25 December 1813
with his wife Elizabeth Nye and children.
I've been helping my son Michael Clauser find our family roots. Your Rev.
Clauser seems pretty certain to be our Daniel. We know our Daniel was born
in Pennsylvania, since it was in records we have from our John "Nye" Clauser
born 8 Feb. 1836, a match to yours.
On our John's military records, his brother Jacob is listed and according to
his age would have been born in 1837, as your Jacob was. Another brother,
Daniel Jr., was listed and with an age that matches your Daniel.
Ironically, our John has the middle name of Nye, same as your Elizabeth's
maiden name. John was born in Lebanon, PA, which is where Daniel and
Elizabeth are buried. So, it seems more than likely we are working with the
same Daniel Clauser.
Do you have any additional info on Daniel? Would you like me to send you
our info on John?
