Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I received the following information from Jere Clauser who later gave me
permission to share it with you.
25 June 2000
Hello Sandy,
I was able to find some records on your ancestors. You may already have
this info. I have your family grouping under my "Unconnected Groups"
catogory.
I have not been able to make a solid connection between them and my lineage
back
to Hans Jorick Klauser (although I am sure they are related).
These records are from the Berks County Geneological Society:
Rev. Edwin J. Fogel Records, 1864-1876 Vol. 1 (G1 CH F687 vol. 1) and

Hope this is helpful to you.....any information I give out will ALWAYS be
documented and factual. Have you ever seen the book called "Some Early
Lineages
of Berks Co., Klauser/Clauser, Hicks/Hix" written by Buelah Hix Blair? I have
used this as a guide, but it does have some significant errors in it. I can't
place my fingers on it at this moment. I moved about six months ago and must
mount a search party in order to find it's location.
I obtained this information from someone in Allentown, PA. Fairview
Cemetery is located there. Joseph W. Clauser and Rosa Ann Clauser are my
great-great grandparents, parents to Alfred Monroe Clauser, Edgar Franklin
Clauser, Charles Henry Clauser, etc. Isn't it great?!

Here's another obit:
Mamie Clauser
in the Morning Call from Allentown on Thursday, January 17, 1895
Mamie, the 6 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Clauser of
Eagle Point, near Egypt, died on Tuesday. She was sick with
whooping cough and measles. In a spell of coughing she burst a blood vessel
and soon afterwards died.
I obtained this obituary from someone in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I think
it may be my John Clauser, father of Joseph William Clauser. If anyone
sees a connection, please contact me.
John Clauser
In the Morning Call on Thursday, October 31, 1895 Allentown, Pa.
John Clauser, who resided at No 847 Jackson Street, died last evening at
about 9 o'clock. He was stricken with apoplexy (stroke) a few days ago,
and lingered until last evening, when the stroke terminated fatally. He
was 74 years and 20 days old. He was born in Richland township, Bucks
County and removed to this city about 20 years ago. He followed the
butchering trade. With his widow, three children survive namely: Joseph,
Albert and Mrs. Frank Hunsicker, all of this city. The funeral will be
held on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Services in Salem's Reformed Church,
Rev. G. W. Richards officiating.
Death Notice

30 days. Funeral from his late home, No 847 Jackson Street, on Monday
morning at 10 o'clock. Services in Salem's Reformed Church. Interment in

Since Rootsweb does not allow attachments, I will send the photo to the
personal e-mail address of anyone interested. However, posting your
interest and ideas to the list is great. I will notice who wants the photo
and be sure to send to you individually.
Sandy
I would like to see the picture and see if he looks like a
Clauser/Klauser/Glauser.
I really am not crazy yet! Too much genealogy just sets me motion!
Visited Edwin Klauser in Long Beach, CA 10 years ago but he was
deceased and his lovely wife showed me a picture of him and he looked so
much like my Uncle Carl Klauser that it was unbelievable. After all
these years and intermarriages and dominant spouses how can the genes
still be there?? Edwin Klauser was an orphan from Switzerland. Have
another picture that reminds me of my brother and was taken in the
1800's.
The California Death and Births is now on-line and unbelievable; use it

My C/Klausers are Germans from Russia and someday we may find their
German family if I get back to that research. arliss

I recently obtained a scanned picture of J. L. Clauser, Garden Grove, CA,
from someone who owns the 1965 U.S. Naval Training Command Yearbook.
Is anyone interested in that? Also, I am interested in finding out if
anyone recognizes the name and can tell me who is father was/is.
