WATSONVILLE, Aug. 8- Hans Clausen, early resident of the Pajaro Valley, died at his home 117 Palm Avenue, Sunday as a result of an attack of paralysis suffered a little more than a week ago. He was 76 years of age and had been a resident of this section for the past 45 years.
He was born in Denmark and came to this country when he was 34 years old, settling first in Wisconsin. A few years later he came to California and had lived here continuously since that time.
He was sexton of the I.O.O.F. cemetery for 25 years and numbered friends by the hundreds throughout this district. Clausen is survived by a widow, three daughters, Mrs. Matt Oreamuno of Aptos; Mrs. R.L. Roadcap of Visalia and Mrs. Nellie Jameson of this city; two grandchildren, Robert Jameson and Virgina Oreamuno; three sisters, Mrs. Matilda Christensen of this city and Mrs. Dorothea Larsen of San Jose; two brothers, Fred Clausen of San Jose and Alfred Clausen of Watsonville.
He was a charter member of Court Pajaro Valley Rose, Foresters of America, and was active in the affairs of the local Odd Fellow bodies.
The funeral will be held from the family home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30.
