I have tried several ways to compare notes regarding the whereabouts of Johnan (John) that came over from Germany in the 1870's and the rest of his folks. My great great garents were Hermann Clausen &
Maggie Hoops, my grandfather was John (Johan), and a 1/2 brother to Hermann Hoops. Donald says you live in Jeffersontown, I live in the Fern Creek area, about half way between Fern Creek & Mt. Washington on Thixton Lon. I would love to get with you sometime and I could show you my "Clausen Book".
Hope to hear from you, or you can call me, evening is best, I keep a grandbaby through the day ,and he keeps me busy, he's 22 months old. My # is 239-8295
I was at a family reunion out at Bob Hoops farm one time several years ago, my husband and sister were with me, that's when I met your Mom. We have much to learn about one another, hope we can do that soon.
If you have more info or if I am on the right line, please contact me or see the site http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyoldham/
