Hello, 3rd great grandfather was Powles Claus b. 1799. We are not sure if he was born on Tyendinaga or in Fort Hunter! You had mentioned that Lawrence Claes was an ancestor of the indians of Tyendinaga! I was just wondering if you had proof of this! Our Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte researcher can only go back to 1799 when the Claus name appears, she is not sure of the Claus' before 1799. So if anyone can shed some light on this that would be great!
