Hi Kathy:
I know this a long time to ask you a question after you made this particular post 2000 but I see you have, as wife, Mary Ann Barnhart. Do you have any information on this woman? Where she was born (could it have possibly been Port Colborne)? Her parents?
I am trying to find out any type of information on a Christiana Christine Barnhart (or Barnhardt). All I really know about her is that she was born in Pennsylvania about 1794; she died in Port Colborne, Welland County, Ontario on 15 Oct 1872. She had 3 or 4 children:
1) Esther Barnhart
2) Jeremiah "Jerry" Barnhart - born about 1833 in Clarence, NY [?]
3) Silas D. Winn - born on 24 March 1838 in Port Colborne
4) Elizabeth Winn - born on 18 May 1841 in Port Colborne
I am unsure if Barnhart is her maiden name and she had her first two children 'out-of-wedlock' or Barnhart is her married name. And, Silas and elizabeth were the product of Christiana and John Winn but I'm unsure if they were married. If I could find out something about her beginnings, then maybe I could sort this mess out.
If you have any information that may help me out, I would be very grateful.
