I found that her name was Louisa Krous. Does this sound familiar to you? She died in December of 1893 and is buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield IL with her husband August Klaus and her brother's family, John G. Krous.
Does any of this sound familiar to you?

My grandmother had a brother named August Claus, but he lived in a small community called Beecher in Illinois, and I believe he was a little younger than your August Claus.

Searching for decendants of August Claus who was about 30 years old in 1893-94 in Springfield, IL. His uncle is John G. Krous. His mother would have been a Krous, but what was her name? Grandfather was Kasper Krous.
