Message Board Post:
I have found a lot of posts on the Claunch message board with family origins in Pulaski Co., Kentucky. Unfortunately I have not been able to make the link to my own family's branch of this tree, even though I know they were there at the same time. I feel like they must be related somehow. Below is everything I know, dating back to 1861. Anyone out there who can help me make the connection, please reply, I would be very appreciative!
/*1st GENERATION*/
William Henry CLAUNCH (b 1861, KY) married Eliza Jane LEWIS (b 1862, KY) in 1879 Pulaski, KY. The couple had seven children. Leroy (b 1882), William (b 1884), Nannie B (b 1886), Everett S (b 1888), Lloyd (b 1890), Reuben (b1894), Alice (b 1896), and Lewis (b 1901). Leroy married Oma (maiden?), William married Edith (maiden?), Everett married Ellen (maiden?), Lloyd married Nora A WHITIS, Reuben wed Mary (maiden?), Alice married Will FORESTER, and Lewis married Rebecca (maiden?).
/**2**/
Lloyd CLAUNCH married Nora A WHITIS (b 1892, KY). The couple had a son, William (b 1912), and daughter Loretta (b 1914), before moving to Idaho where they settled in the Pocatello area and had four more children. Louis H (b 1916), Veneta (b 1918), unnamed stillborn (?, 1921), and Lloyd Eugene (b 1926) were all born in Idaho.
/***3***/
Lloyd Eugene CLAUNCH joined the U.S. Navy and I believe lived in several different places in the Pacific Northwest including Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming, before settling in the Prosser area of southeastern Washington state.
