I am researching my family ancestors. I am looking for Daniel Claunch and his family members. His one daughter was Justice (jestus) Claunch who married Willam Daniel (Daniels). They lived in Claiborne/Grainger Tennessee. I believe they originated from Virginia.
I would greatly appreciated any info you can share.
Thank you.

My brick wall is with my great grandfather, John G Claunch. He was born about 1851 -. Died 23 Jan 1881 in Hopkins County, Texas. Story is he and his mother was abandoned by his father in England and they both then came to America when he was about 15 years old. It is said he spoke of coming through Mississippi.
Other than that, I know nothing of him.

Hello Mike,
I know how hard it is to research this name, My Grandmother
was a Clounch, Part of her family used Claunch though.
There are so many variations of it, Klontz, Clontz, Clonts,
Clonch, etc.
My Clounch/Claunch's were primarily in NorthWest Alabama.
You mentioned your Claunch's coming from England, well,
Some came from Germany.
I know that one of my GG-GF, David Jefferson Clounch,
brothers went to Texas, We knew him as,Web, and that he was born about 1817 in Alabama or KY.
I do not know what part of Texas though, or any thing else about him.
Their parents were:
David B. "Davy" Claunch Born abt. 1797 VA or KY or TN
Mary Martha Baker Born abt. 1798 KY
Feel free to email me directly.
Make sure you put something in subject line like Claunch
researcher so I will not think it junk mail.
Good Luck !

I'm looking too! Ola Mae Claunch married my grandfather William Sharver about late 1920's. I never knew her. She lived in Spiro, Oklahoma, I believe. Can you help? I know no Claunch, except those who have run for political office in and around Paden, Oklahoma.
