Hello Debbie
It is always nice to hear from a family researcher. I have my entire database, (that I have in Family Tree Maker) online. (At least what I have gotten to). I won't live long enough to get it all online. You may check out the database at http://www2.1starnet.com. My sister-in-law, Alta Claunch and I have worked together for years. I got into it and in a couple of years, she joined me and we have had a good time working together. She was retired long before me and she does have 2 books that she has put together and has for sale. Her e-mail address is Alta Claunch
E-mail Address(es):
aclaunch(a)aciglobal.com
You could probably save yourself a lot of research to purchase her book. They are in two books, because we have a missing link that could tie them together. We would appreciate anything you can add or correct in the database. Where do you live? I live in Paris, Texas but planning to move back to my home town of Fort Worth in the near future to be near my family. All of my family has passed on who lived here with me, and I am alone now.
Thank you for writing.
Mary Stinson Claunch Lane

Hello, Mary: I believe that my grandmother, Hattie Pearl Claunch Perkins, is Samuel Leslie's sister. I have just begun my research of the Claunch family and have been reading the old postings to find some clues. I would love to hear from you. Thank you, Debbie Perkins Anderson

Some how I managed to post this twice without completing the message. Sorry for the confusion.
William E. Claunch and Saly May Claunch were listed in the household (1880 census) of Josiah and Mary C. (Randall) Claunch, as their grandchildren [but there is no indication of who their father is: George C. Claunch, Andrew A. Claunch, William M. Claunch, Christopher C. Claunch, or James G. Claunch].
William E. Claunch was born circa 1872 in Missouri, and Sally May Claunch was born circa 1874 in Missouri. They are listed as "at school" by the 1800 census.
Josiah Claunch was born 12 May 1817 in Pulaski Co, KY, and died 21 Dec 1902 in Bates Co, MO. He was the son of John Claunch and Susannah Richardson. He married Mary C. Randall (born 1919, died 1893) in 1839 and had 10 children.
William E. Claunch and Saly May Claunch must be the children of one of their sons, and I would like to find out which one.
