Trying to find my Clary's in the 1860 census
Martin, and I believe his wife, Bridget Cancanon, came to America in 1856. Their first child, Martin Edward Clary was born in Texas on 22 Oct. 1860. A second child to this marriage, Mary Ann Clary was born in Jan 1868. Martin, the father died in Oct 1870 and Bridget died around the same time.
I can not find any rocord of this mother and father in the census. If their son was born in Oct 1860, then he was born after the census, so when the census was taken, Bridget was pregnet with him, so I would feel that Martin and Bridget were husband and wife. All the census with the son Martin, gives information that he was born in Texas.
There is a Martin that is the correct age to be the husband of this family in Texas, but it shows him with no wife. There are severial Bridget's living in other states in America that are the correct age to be his wife that are living in other households.
If anyone has any input on this or if other people are working on the Clary family and can lay claim to any of the other Bridget Calry's, please let me know. I can then exclude them from my list of possibles.
