Dwayne,
I know, I want her to be in that family also. My Rowe's married in the
White family also.
John M. White, son of Daniel & Phoebe White, married Mary Jane Rowe in 1840.
Here is Elizabeth Clary Rowe Meisenheimer's obit.
Obituary - Montgomery News - March 25, 1900
Elizabeth Jane Clary Rowe Meisenheimer
Strange death of Mrs. Meisenheimer
On Thursday, March 15, 1900, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Meisenheimer died
suddenly while being taken from Clear Springs Cemetery to the home of her
son, John Rowe, who lives southwest of Truitt Bridge, southwest of
Hillsboro. ( Truitt bridge is on the Litchfield Trace just outside Hillsboro
- it crosses Shoal Creek. It is about 2 1/2 miles NW of Clear Springs
Cemetery. )
Mrs. Meisenheimer was 78 years of age and quite feeble. She had been
attending the funeral of her son, Paul Rowe, who was buried Thursday of last
week at Clear Springs Cemetery. During the services she fainted away but was
soon revived. Then her step-son, Daniel R. Meisenheimer, who lives 5 miles
northeast of Hillsboro and with whom the old lady had been living, attempted
to take her to the house of John Rowe, another son. A bed was made for her
in her step-son's wagon and in this manner she was being taken to John
Rowe's. When the party arrived at their destination, they found the old lady
was dead.
Mrs. Meisenheimer was one of the old residents of the county. Her
maiden name was Clary, and before her marriage, she lived near Woodsboro.
She first married James Rowe. He died 41 years ago. She next married Mathias
Meisenheimer and he died 18 years ago.
The deceased was a member of the Christian Church. She leaves these
children: Peter Rowe, Caleb Rowe and Mrs. Lavenia Meisenheimer, wife of
Daniel R. Meisenheimer - son of Mathias Meisenheimer by his first wife.
Funeral services were held last Saturday and the remains buried in Clear
Springs Cemetery.

I don't think William is her father, as there is another Elizabeth as a
daughter.
Charles could be either William or David's son. I think My Elizabeth Jane
is daughter
Of David OR Charles & Elizabeth Jane are siblings with a deceased father
in 1850.

Janet,
I've always wanted somehow to connect her with my family. David Clary b.
1789/90 in Ohio. This is my direct line and they were in Clinton County,
Illinois for a time. See the 1850 census. One great granddaughter of
David's (Maud M. Clary) married a Rowe. This is from David's line as
follows: David and ??? had a son, Isaac O. and he and Louisa (White) had
George W. Clary and he and Syrena (Livingston) had Maud M. Clary. Syrena
and George were my great grandparents. They eventually moved from Illinois
to Kansas to Missouri settling in Joplin. I don't know much about the Rowe
line as Maud must have married and divorced him between 1900 and 1910. She
married again, this time to Charles Keopke in Oct. 1911. She was born in
Joplin in 1885.
The other possibility might be a connection to Charles Clary also found in
the 1850 Clinton Co., Ilinois census. I have yet to connect Charles and
David, if there is a connection at all. The 1840 census for David has a
number of individuals in the household, so it is difficult to determine how
many families were counted.
If any of this might sound familiar, let me know and I'll fill you in more.

My aunt (my mother's sister)married John Frank Clary and lived in Crestview, Florida which is near DeFuniak Springs. What years are you talking about? John Frank Clary was born about 1896, I believe. His mother according to census records was Frances N. Clary. I do not have too much info, but will be happy to share what I know.

Zachariah Clary was my gg-grandfather. He was born 26 February 1821 in
Sangamon Co., IL and died 26 April 1885. I do not have in my database where
he is buried. He is not listed in the Jewell Co., KS cemetery books. The
only name Clary listed in the cemetery books are Martin Sims Clary, Laura
Belle Pantier Clary and Martin Columbus Clary. They are buried in the Balch
Cemetery. Grant Twp., Jewell Co., KS. This burial info was recorded by
Marylee J. Rohla, Superior, NE in 1978.
I know there are other Clary descendants buried in Jewell County. Three
of the children of Zachariah and Harriett married Pantier children. Many of
those are buried in Jewell County.

Hi,
I was just browsing through the post on the Erath Co. website. I know the grave you are talking about. We used to go see it when we were kids. E. C. Pearcy was my great uncle and we still own the place next door.
