I am the great great grandson of John Alexander. I currently live in Raleigh, NC with my wife and two daughters. My father is John Clary Jr. and his father John Clary Sr. was the son of Lyle Clary.
My great grandfather was his son Lyle who was born in Texas County, MO. When you say they moved to Texas, the information you received may be indicating a move to Texas County, MO (which is where Lyle was born). I will ask my father about John Alexander possibly having or nicknaming a son named Pinkney but as far as I know (he gave me a detailed genealogy chart of my lineage) there is no Pinkney. Lyle's siblings were Mabel, Victor, Charlie, Ambrose, Gilmore, and Chalice.
Christopher Clary (I have a family tree that is loaded on here at least back to Pinkney Green if you're interested)

James and Eliza Belle are buried in Greencastle, PA.
Eliza Belle lived to be in her 90's. She was my Great-Grandmother. Walter Harrison Clary was my grandfather. There were other children as well and they all lived in Greencastle. None of this family lived in Austin, IL.
One of the sisters, Estelle, died several years ago and Howard P. Clary also lived a long life. I'm curious as to why your info states anyone lived in Illinois.

Hello:
James Clary, brother of John, was my great-grandfather.
When John moved to MO, he apparently had a falling-out with
their dad, Pinkney Green. John had a son and named him
after his dad. John and family then moved to Texas. There are family still living there. My gg-grandather Pinkney and my gg-grandmother Rebecca Ziegler Clary are buried in Greencastle at the cemetery located just beyond the town.
Also buried there is James Clary and his wife (g-grandparents), along with others. There was also another brother named Thomas who remained in Greencastle. If you send me your address I can e-mail you some photos. Please tell me about yourself as well.

Based upon the Lundy family book with posted link below, a few holes surrounding James McCrea Clary are answered.
James McCrea Clary, b 07/09/1870 married Eliza Bell Bartle 03/07/1890. Bell Bartle was b 1/22/1873. Their 4 children were Walter Harrison 6/2/1890, Ida May 8/12/1895, Alice Blanche 7/7/1898, and Howard Pinkney 8/1/1900 and lived in Austin, IL. Hope this helps.

I realize you haven't posted about Pinkney Green in several years now but I was wondering if you could tell me where he and Rebecca are buried in Greencastle. I am a descendant of Pinkney Green through his son John Alexander, who is the brother of James McCrea. You had mentioned John possibly having a son he called Pinkney and as far as my records go, the only Pinkney I have is John's father. John moved to Mountain Grove, MO at least as early as 1889. Thanks for any information you can supply.
