Greetings to all on this list:
I am new to his list and of course have a query.
I have been doing some research on my Baird/ Beard family ,and
particularly in
Arkansas,I find members of the Clary family living by and associated with
them.
The census records indicate that they came from SC.
In fact ,one census has a sarah B. Beard listed bn. in SC.and a
charlotte Clary
living with her.
I think this is the 1850 census so Sarah would be bn 1812 and Charlotte
bn 1820.
and James Clary 1838 and Henry 1845.A Julius Clary is living next
door.bn. 1809, wife Mary. This is in Bradley County, Ark.Living on the
other side of Mary is Hugh Green.
There is a Sarah C. Clary, wife of Samuel Barton Beard, had a son James
Thomas Beard
bn. 13 Jan. 1848 in Bradley co. Ark. md. Frances E Neely.
Then ,it looks like a Martha E Clary bn. Ark. 4 yrs .old with the
Bradleys Hugh) there.
Well, This may be enough information for someone out there to associate
with.
If any one can enlighten me abt. these families I would be most pleased.
Thank you.

Dear Clary Rootswebbers:
Here is information on one Newberry Co., SC, John CLARY. It does not
match up with the information sent out a couple of days ago. However, one of
the sons in each Clary family was named John P. Clary. I only send it out as
perhaps one piece of the puzzle that can be eliminated from the search. Also
interesting in the fact that the wife's in this Clary family is named Jane &
one of the daughters in the other Clary family is also Jane.

Dear Susan,
Thank you for your reply. I read them all and hope that they do relate
to John.
Do you know of have you seen any theory about John Clary and his
relationship to the other Clarys in Newberry SC (like James Clary)?
John, James, Charles, Adam, and William seem to be the names used by
this family. Not an Daniel in the bunch. ?
There was a Sarah (Harmon) Clary mentioned in some probate records, but
one of Daniel's sons married a Sarah and moved to Limestone Co. AL.
Sarah Harmon could be that Sarah, or she could be my Sarah!
My Sarah was born in Ireland and by 1830 was in Perry Co. AL as head of
house with her son-in-law, David Tidmore, also head of house. I'll have
to check out where she is in 1840!?? But! In 1850 she is in Greene Co.
in one sons home and next door to another son. David and Jeremiah
Tidmore are there, too. She is 69 years old and that's the last we see
of her.
The children remain in that area, and the family to this day remains in
what is now Hale Co. AL.
Thank you again for your reply.
Happy Hunting!
