Judy,
It's not the wrong one--maybe you can help us :-). Even though the list is
skewed toward the US, I believe most of the Clarys here came from Ireland.
The only thing is, some of us have to go back 300+ years to find our Clary
immigrant. I've been looking for the O'Cleary book that discusses the Irish
origins, but haven't located a copy yet. I'm a little confused (nothin'
new) about how so many of the early Clarys in VA & SC got to be Quakers if
they were Irish. I have other Irish immigrants--all protestants from
northern Ireland--but I haven't felt confident enough to attempt to research
the Irish side yet.

I joined this list to find out information on the Cleary family from
Cork and Tipperary. I see that only the Clearys in the U.S. are on this
list. Is this the wrong one? I know who my ggreandfather was, but need
to know the family he left behind in the 1860's. Does anyone on this
list have Clearys from those two cities? His father was Dennis and his
mother was Elizabeth (Parker). thanks...

Happy New Year and Greetings to everyone.
Just a few rules, requests, and reminders to you regarding the list.
1. Please put in your subject line an appropriate topic and explanation if
needed. For example, "CLARY, born OHIO 1790" is a good one, while "Looking
for Smith in US" is not.
2. Subscribing/Unsubscribing should NOT be sent to the list.
Those go to CLARY-L-request(a)rootsweb.com or CLARY-D-request(a)rootsweb.com
3. If you have problems, contact me at Dwayne(a)dcrandall.com directly.
PLEASE MENTION THE LIST NAME. I have a few, also specify whether it's
CLARY-L or CLARY-D. Saves me time.
4. Please don't send virus warnings, attachments, executable programs, or
flames to the list.
If there is a problem you believe, contact me directly with your concern.
5. Have a good time with the list. Use it to your advantage. Send in
those difficult problems. I'm working on upgrading my web sites to include
much more information on many lines. (If I can get the technical people at
the site to respond to my inability to upload).
6. My most current web site will be at http://www.dcrandall.com Some of
the older sites like geocities are no longer updated. Couldn't convince
yahoo I was 18 or older and finally gave up.
