Hello All:
Tho't I'd let ya'll know I've finally uploaded ALL my CLARY
information. I'm not certain every file was uploaded because it is so
HUGE - so be patient. If you find broken links, please let me know and
I will repair them.
I have wanted to upload this information to the WWW for years, but
didn't have time; well - I finally made the time.
Also, the web site is located on Tripod.com, which means there are
advertisements brought up with every new page, so be patient and
understanding, after-all it's free.
Here's the site, remember - be gentle. . .

"How delightful is the company of generous people, who overlook trifles
and keep their minds instinctively fixed on whatever is good and
positive in the world about them. People of smaller caliber are always
carping. They are bent on showing their own superiority, their
knowledge or prowess of good breeding. But magnanimous people have no
vanity, they have no jealousy, they have no reserves, and they feed on
the true and the solid wherever they find it. And what is more, they
find it everywhere."

Subject: {not a subscriber} War of 1812 Pensioners
The following are entries from the Index to the War of 1812 Pension Files
which was prepared from microfilm records located at the NARA.
"The claims are for the most part based on the acts of 1871 and 1878. The
act of 1871 provided pensions for veterans who had been cited by Congress
for specific service if they had remained faithful to the United States
during the Civil War. The act also provided pensions for widows if they were
married before the Treaty of Peace in 1815."
My aplolgies to the list for not having the list of abbreviations used in
this index. I ran out of copier money and time. I will try to rectify this
soon, but the book is temporarily unavailable due to library renovations.
Perhaps one of you has this list and would share with us.

Hi..we had a Michael and Margaret Cleary and two kids on the 1860 census
here in Marquette, Michigan. I always wondered why they were here, and
where did they go afterwards. I've been thinking, maybe he was a
brother to my William and Patrick, but no proof anywhere. Judy Webb
I've recently subscribed to the website and received you e mail for CLEARY information.
I'm a recent subscriber to the list and thought I would post my CLEARY details
My Cleary connection started, initially, with my great grandmother, Catherine CLEARY who was born in Bristol England in 1879.
Her parents, Ellen Cleary (nee Kenealy) and Edward CLEARY were married in Bristol in 1877. Edward was the son of Michael CLEARY.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to trace either Edward or Michael on any census. The 1881 Census , being only 2 years after Catherine's birth shows her living with her mother and grandparents, The Kenealy's, and I cannot trace her father anywhere in the UK during the census nor have I been able to trace his death.
Family stories indicate that he may have emigrated, possibly to the States, presumably 1879 onwards.
Any information gratefully received!!

FYI
I've sent the following to ancestry.com to hopefully clarify things:
To Whom It May Concern:
I am a listowner of a number of names and have had some subscribers indicate
not all of the military databases you've announced as free can be accessed
at your website
http://www.ancestry.com/dailynews/militaryDBs.htm
I'm aware of two listed on that webpage (1) Abstracts of Graves of
Revolutionary Patriots and (2) Civil War Research Database which can not be
accessed. Is there some means for non-members to access these?
Thank you for your efforts.
